Welcome to Bakewell Showground in the heart of the Peak District, home of the Bakewell Show!
One of the oldest agricultural shows in the UK with nearly 200 years of
history, Bakewell Show has evolved from a purely agricultural display to the diverse event it is today with something for everybody!
Always held on the first Wednesday & Thursday in August, the 182nd show will take place on the 1st & 2nd August 2012 with some equine classes on Tuesday the 31st July.
We are looking forward to the 2012 show which is already being planned. We have confirmed appearances from Titan the Robot, the Imps Motorcycle Display Team and the 15 Minute Theatre Company. Which together with all our regular attractions should make this year's Bakewell Show one of the best yet!
Unfortunately we have to announce that the popular Gardener's Question time Roadshow will not be appearing at the Bakewell Show this year.

CULLAND’S DARLING BLOOMS OF JUNE
Culland Hall in Ashbourne are opening their private gardens on 10th June, 11am to 4pm, in aid of Mid-Derbyshire Mobile Physiotherapy.
The Gardens are divided into rooms which flow effortlessly from one to the other – wisteria clad pergolas lead the eye and foot to a cosy potager before revealing a woodland glen. Next to the Hall sits a restful walled water garden nestled beside over 100 different varieties of climbing, rambling and standard roses, all fully established and boasting powerful scents.
On Sunday June 10th these heady blooms should be at their peak and the entire gardens will be open to the public from 11am to 4pm.
Nearly 20 specialist nurseries and RHS Exhibitors will be offering the very finest plants for sale – those in the know get there early to snap up rare and unusual examples.
Home-made refreshments are on offer all day giving you a chance to sit down in the 19C walled kitchen garden and reflect on this idyllic corner of Derbyshire.
