Children's Classes 2012

Horticulture Marquee
There are 10 children’s classes in the Horticulture Marquee, including the popular scarecrow classes.
* A Vase of Flowers - 10 & under
* A Vase of Flowers - 11 - 16 yrs
* An Animal made from Fruit & Veg
* A Garden in a Seed Tray
* Extraordinary Fruit or Vegetable
* Plant a Shoe
* Decorated Sunflower Head
These will be judged by 2012 Show President Elect - Graham Rudd
 
Scarecrow Competition
Entrants should make a scarecrow (maximum height 5 foot), which will be judged by a representative of Central Technology in 3 classes:
* Clubs or groups (Cash prize donated by Central technology)
* Age 10 or under on Show day (Prize to be confirmed)
* Age 11 - 16 (Prize to be confirmed)

Floral Art Marquee
There are 5 children`s classes in the Floral Art Marquee, each with a separate theme.
*  Colourful (under 15)
*  Caterpilllar (2 to 7 yrs)
*  Cracker (8 to 11 yrs)
*  Cup & Saucer (12 to 14 yrs)
*  Circus (15 to 17yrs)

Crafts & Home Economics Marquee
There are 3 children`s classes in the WI Marquee. These will be listed as soon as they are confirmed.
*  A Crown, any medium (8 yrs & under)
*  A Jubilee Flag, any medium (9 to 12 yrs)
*  A Pizza Face (7 to 13 yrs)

Pigeon & Poultry Section
*  One Decorated or Painted Egg - 11 to 15 years old  (adult class also available)
*  Juvenile (11 to 15 yrs) egg classes
*  Junior (5 to 10 yrs) handlers classes
*  Juvenile (11 to 15 yrs) handlers classes

Young Handler Classes
Young Handler Classes are also offered in the horse, livestock & dog sections.  Please see relevant schedules for further information.

Gardener's Question Tme A very popular attraction since 2009 the ITV and Daily Mail’s Gardening Question Time Roadshow has become an integral part of the Bakewell Show’s Horticulture Marquee. Madam Zucchini New for 2012! Her Healthy Eating Show starring Lois Leek, Peter Parsnip and the terrifying Artificial Cheese-beast. Performing in the Competative Horticulture Marquee. Titan the Robot 8ft of Steaming Robotic Loveliness.... Titan the Robot is the worlds first robotic impersonator is back at Bakewell Show in 2012! He will be performing twice a day on the Village Green The Beach With deck chairs provided for supervising adults, donkey rides and a Punch and Judy Show the beach is always very popular with the whole family. The Imps Motorcycle display team deliver a breath-taking motorcycle spectacular. This dynamic display of skills, performed by highly trained young people, will have you on the edge of your seats! The Sheep Show The Sheepshow is a fun and educational live show of sheep breeds and shearing. It is seen at numerous outdoor events throughout the year and is fun for all ages.
